2005 Dodge Intrepid

Dodge decided to once again enter Winston Cup racing and they choose the Intrepid
to represent their line up. The 2005 Dodge Intrepid is built with good performance
contour, providing superior acceleration and nimbleness at a reasonably affordable
price. For this year, the enhanced Dodge Intrepid is available in three flavors:
the Intrepid SE, Intrepid ES and the Intrepid SXT.
The Intrepid SE is the basic model that is known for its versatility and reliability.
Intrepid ES boasts its roomy interior that can house five adults and plenty of
cargo space while the Intrepid SXT is designed for racing enthusiasts, merging
a high-powered and high-output engine and 17-inch tires for a glossy, stylish,
and sexy appearance as it go fast down the road. Intrepid SE's standard engine
is a 2.7-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 that generates 200 horsepower at 5,800 rpm and
190 lb-ft of torque at 4,850 rpm.
The Intrepid ES on the other hand, comes with a 3.5-liter engine with 232 horsepower
rated at 6,200 rpm and displaces 241 lb-ft oft torque at 4,000 rpm. Furthermore,
the Intrepid SXT is equipped with a 3.5-liter HO V6 24-valve engine that puts
out 250 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 2540 lb-ft of torque at 3,900 rpm All models
offer a standard independent touring suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. 2005
Dodge Intrepid possesses one of the widest wheelbases on the industry at present.
Other 2005 Dodge Intrepid distinguishing features are its 60/40 split folding
rear seatback for cargo depth exceeding seven feet, cockpit-style driver's seat
position and available seven Infinity speakers that is coupled with AM/FM stereo
cassette with in-dash six-disc CD changer and 240-watt amplifier.
