2004 Dodge Intrepid
A carryover from 2003, Dodge Intrepid 2004 is a 4-door family sedan that can
accommodate up to six passengers and are available in three trim levels: the SE,
ES and the SXT. All trims are offered with 4-speed automatic transmission with
overdrive. Since it was introduced, SE model comes with a standard 2.7-liter,
V6 engine that cranks out 200 horsepower and achieves 21-mpg in the city and 29-mpg
along the highway.
It has a dual overhead camshafts and its standard features includes air conditioning,
four-wheel-disc brakes, power windows and door locks, power mirrors, light tinted
windows, tilt steering, and 225/60R16 tires on 16-inch steel wheels.
ES version is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 cranks out 234 horsepower and comes with
single overhead camshafts and a multi-plenum intake manifold. To complement its
more powerful engine, ES features upgrade fog lamps, leather-wrapped steering
wheel and shift knob, eight-way power fort the driver's seat, a 60/40 split folding
rear seat, first-class AM/FM/CD stereo with six speakers and 120-watt amplifier,
cruise control, and remote keyless entry.
The Intrepid SXT is also motorized by a 3.5-liter V6 engine, but delivers 244
horsepower due to its electronic control of the trick manifold. It is equipped
with chrome wheels, and a spoiler. SXT is a good package that boasts its outstanding
acceleration performance, top-of-the-line features and reasonably lower price
that the ES version. It has 16-inch chrome wheels, P225/60R16 all-season touring
tires, touring suspension, a decklid spoiler, and a bright exhaust tip.
The 2004 Intrepid bids abundant power and upright fuel efficiency. It surpasses
rough terrains very well and it offers a comfortable and quality ride. It also
gives precise and sharp handling. Intrepid's lustrous styling makes it appears
handsome and modern even if it's old. Automatic brake system and side-impact airbags
comes optional in all models.
