2001 Dodge Intrepid
Dubbed as a big sedan that delivers a kick of a performance, Dodge Intrepid made
it to the world of racing. This year, it joins in the competitive world of NASCAR
Winston Cup stock car racing, one thing that other large four-door sedan can hardly
made. Some noteworthy changes made to Dodge Intrepid this year to make the passenger
more comfortable inside.
These are thicker glass which is designed to give a quiet interior, optional
side airbags for the front passengers, and three- point seatbelt for the center
rear seat passenger. For this year, Intrepid is available in three trims the base
Dodge Intrepid SE, the ES and the sporty R/T models. The SE Intrepid trim is motorized
by a 200-horsepower 2.7-liter V6 and has a standard automatic transmission.

All other models are offered with Chrysler's AutoStick, a system that allows
the driver to shift from regular automatic to semi-automatic shift approach. Intrepid
ES on the other hand comes an option between 2.liter or the more powerful 3.2-liter
V6 engine that generates 225 horsepower. Since R/T model is performance-oriented,
it is offered with the standard 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers 242 horsepower.
It also has standard performance-aimed exhaust and 17-inch alloy wheels coupled
with a forceful P225/55R17 tires. It also comes with an optional first-class Infinity
sound system with a cassette player, in-dash four-CD changer and audio controls
which are mounted in the steering wheel. Included in Dodge Intrepid's inclusive
option package is leather seating surfaces and an automatic climate control system.
