1998 Dodge Intrepid

Dodge Intrepid was redesigned and upgraded for this year from ground up. They
brag even more stylish sheet metal, additional space and comfort and more significantly,
they boast more powerful and more fuel-efficient engines that produce fewer emissions.
This year's base Intrepid is motorized by a new Kenosha-made 2.7-liter, 24-valve
V6 engine, producing 200 horsepower. Though it was built in a 113-inch wheelbase,
same as previous models, Intrepid increased its length with 3 inches to 203 inches
overall length.
Redesigned with even more dramatic styling, 1998 Dodge Intrepid comes standard
with 4-speed AutoStick automatic transmission, leather-trimmed bucket seats, dual
air-bags, 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, power rack and pinion steering, rear
window defroster, intermittent speed-sensitive wipers, bright exhaust tip, power
windows with driver one-touch driver's down, air conditioning and speed-sensitive
power door locks.
'98 Intrepid also boast its cruise control, tilt leather-wrapped steering wheel,
8-way power driver's seat with manual lumbar adjustment, 60/40 split folding rear
seat, illuminated entry, keyless entry, full-length floor-console with cupholders,
AM/FM cassette 6-speaker stereo, illuminated visor-vanity mirrors, floor mats,
fog lamps, tint glass, front and rear reading lamps, power trunk release, power
mirrors and P225/60R16 touring tires with aluminum wheels. In addition, Intrepid
have dual depowered air bags that set up at lower speeds to secure those who snub
belt up.
